Weekend Warrior Series: LED Retrofit Lighting, Part Two

 Over the span of May, our team celebrated National Home Remodeling month by doing some simple lighting projects around the house and offering them to our perusers. We considered it our “End of the week Warrior” arrangement since the entirety of the ventures can be finished in an end of the week (or less!).

Undertaking Two – The 1-Hour Project

In my last post I shared how we introduced recessed lighting in our reward room. Once I introduced the LED retrofits there, I was snared on the quality and energy-proficiency of the lighting. I chose to change out our seven 75-watt PAR30 halogen recessed lights in our kitchen with seven LED retrofit modules. The 7 halogen recessed lights utilized 525 complete watts of power. By changing to LED retrofit modules I would decrease that wattage use to 87.5 watts! Tremendous energy investment funds! Notwithstanding the LED retrofit modules, I additionally changed out my dimmer change to a Lutron Maestro C-L dimmer.

This was one task I had the option to effectively do myself. Indeed, I completed this one in under 60 minutes.

Stage 1 – Remove the current 75-watt PAR30 incandescent light.

Stage 2 – Remove the current recessed puzzle trim from the lodging.

Stage 3 – Screw in the new LED retrofit module.

Stage 4 – Rinse and rehash until each of the 7 lights are finished.

Stage 5 – Turn on the lights to ensure they all worked.

Stage 6 – Turn off the capacity to the kitchen, supplant the current dimmer with another C-L dimmer, betray. Turn on the lights. Done.

All things considered, both of these ventures were finished triumphs. Much better lighting in our reward room and gigantic energy reserve funds in our kitchen.
